This is an EXTREMELY RARE 1958 Martin D-28E Acoustic/Electric Guitar in Excellent Condition. We are selling it on consignment for a customer of ours. He’s getting older and is trying to “thin the herd” a bit. It has 2-3 minor Finish scratches on the Top of the Guitar, and 4-5 minor Finish scratches on the Back. 2-3 minor Finish nicks near the Top of the Headstock. It’s truly unbelievable how amazing the Condition of this Guitar is in considering it’s 67 years old. Perfectly straight Neck with Great Action all the way up and down. We just put a Brand New Set of D’Addario EJ16’s on it. The Electronics work just fine. This is a very similar Guitar to the one Kurt Cobain played on Nirvana’s infamous Unplugged Session, only that was a D-18E. This is an upgraded D-28E. The Guitar has a Solid Cedar Top, and Solid Brazilian Rosewood for the Back and Sides. It comes with a Hard Case that the owner thinks is Original, but it does not say Martin on it so I cannot confirm if the case is Original or not.
